Tigers’ Wednesday match vs. Rays who received the late start time due to the bad weather forecast, originally appeared on Athlon Sports.
The Detroit Tigers took the first two games of their series against the Tampa Bay Rays in Comerica Park in Motown, giving manager AJ Hinch’s team a chance to go for the three-game Sweep on Thursday for a three-game against the Seattle Mariners.
The Tigers defeated the rays with scores from 5-1 and 4-2 last Monday and Tuesday, making it theater for a big game on Wednesday in Comerica Park.
On Tuesday evening, Fanduel Sports Network reporter Daniella Bruce shared an update on Wednesday’s competition in the light of a weather system that is expected to affect the area in downtown Detroit that the starting time of the third game of the series will influence.
“Due to the predicted bad weather in the area tomorrow afternoon, the planned start time for the Tigers vs. Rays Series Final of Wednesday in Comerica Park has been adjusted from 1:10 pm to 5:10 pm,” Bruce wrote on her X account on Tuesday, after an interview with Tiger’s third baseman Colt Keith.
