Lagway, Slaughter, Banks go to SEC Media Days

The 2025 edition of the SEC Media Days for College Football is just around the corner. On Tuesday, the Florida Gators announced the three players who will become a member of coach Billy Napier in Atlanta next week.

The headliner of the group is a second -year Quarterback DJ Lagway, whose presence under the Center De Oranje and Blauw helped to earn its first winning season in four years, while the team led to the first Bowl -Game victory since 2019. The Gunslinger from Willis, Texas, has become the face of the program and has become the autumn campaign among the candidates for the Heisman trophy.

Also included in the group is the man who stands for every offensive game for Lagway – Redshirt Senior Center Jake Slaughter. The attacking Lineman, originally from Sparr, Florida, earned several awards last season and is projected by many who are selected in the first round of the 2026 NFL concept.

Finally, there is Redshirt Senior Defending Tackle Caleb Banks, who represents the other side of the line of Scrimmage under the group in Atlanta. It is also expected that a high-round pick in the next spring’s design, the former transfer of the Louisville Cardinals is an important presence in the trenches and as a leader on the sidelines for the Gators.

Florida’s turn on stage comes on Wednesday, July 16, starting at 1 p.m.

2025 Football Sec Media Days Details

The SEC SEC -Kijdtrapmediadagen from 2025 will be held from Monday July 14 to Thursday, July 17 in the Omni Atlanta Hotel in Centennial Park and the College Football Hall of Fame.

This summer the third time since 2018 marks that Atlanta has organized the media event of the SEC; Dallas, Nashville and Atlanta have served as hosts for the past three years.

SEC Network will bring the four -day event to a national audience again. The extravaganza is planned to start on Monday at 9 am etc., with the SEC network covering for the four-day event.
