Andrew Vaughn makes the first impression, has a related quote about new Brewers teammates who originally appeared on Athlon Sports.
The Milwaukee Brewers may have taken over Andrew Vaughn from the Chicago White Sox almost a month ago, but he spent all the time in Triple-a Nashville. He did not meet the vast majority of this brewing schedule.
Bewers fans quickly became acquainted with Vaughn in the match of Monday evening against the Dodgers, when he started a 3-6-3 doubles of Freddie Freeman at the top of the first inning, and followed it with a 409-foot three-run gay in the bottom of the 1st.
It was a great first impression on his new teammates, but there is still something to learn.
“Just meet a lot of new people. I will have to do it again, I’m really bad with names,” said Vaughn after the game.
Baseball players, they are just like us.
Especially when you meet your 25 other teammates, most of them are for the first time, they are many names to try to remember and keep track of in a very short time.
If Vaughn keeps beating at home, his teammates will have no problem remembering his name, that’s for sure.
“He knows no one in our organization, we just picked him up and sent him to Triple-A. It was a bit of a big problem, in the media, because Vaughn has a history in the big competitions and did it well. But to let him appear the first day, I am not in the first place to say” Pat Murphy said. “
Vaughn’s Three Run Homer In the first inning, the Brewers helped to show the Brewers, which eventually became a five-run first where they chased Dodgers-starter Yoshinobu Yamamoto after only two-thirds of an inning.
“He didn’t know he played until he landed today,” said Murphy. “I didn’t expect him to go to Homer, but that’s great. Great opening act.”
Vaughn also ran and scored in the 5th inning on the two-run single by Brice Turang. He was lifted for Pinch-Hitter Jake Bauers in the 7th.
In the coming days, Vaughn will try to remember the names of his new teammates, but he has already left an impression on them and the Brewers with his big hit to start his Brewers career.
