Isca and Shicpa go into Mou for the development of accountancy

The Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (ISCA) and the Shanghai Institute of Certified Public Accountants (Shicpa) have introduced a memorandum of agreement (MOU) to improve the international development of the accountancy profession.

This agreement is intended to support closer ties between the accounting communities of Singapore and China, to promote professional competencies and compliance with international business practices.

Through this partnership, both institutes will jointly organize the “Singapore Intensive Training Program” for more than 20 accounting powerers from Shanghai.

The program, carried out by ISCA, is designed to increase their professional skills, to encourage cultural integration and to support cross-border investment cooperation, which contributes to “Global Sustainable Development goals”, emphasized Singaporean accountancy body.

De Mou is part of a larger initiative of ISCA to expand his worldwide presence and to collaborate with other professional accountancy authorities and educational institutions.

Earlier in 2025, ISCA also signed similarities with Xi’an Jiaotong-Livepool University and Nanjing University of Finance & Economics, which promoted international outreach.

The cooperation with Shicpa is expected to strengthen the exchange of knowledge between Singapore and China, both important players in the Global Financial Arena, explained Isca.

The signing of the MOU, which took place during an official visit of Shicpa to Singapore, was officially made by Judy NG, Vice President of Isca, and Fang Yifeng, Vice President of Shicpa.

Isca Vice-President Judy NG said: “This collaboration with Shicpa reflects the constant involvement of ISCA in increasing professional standards and strengthening the global ties within the Accountancy profession. By sharing knowledge and expertise across borders, we not only support the development of individual and economy, but also contribute to the renewal and economy.”

Shicpa Vice-President Fang Yifeng said: “We are delighted to collaborate with Isca to offer our members the opportunity to gain worldwide perspectives and practical insights into Singapore. This program represents a meaningful step in strengthening the ties of people to people and the promotion of professional exchange between Shanghai and Singapore.”

In April 2025, Help University in Malaysia collaborated with ISCA to offer new educational opportunities for students, aimed at a career in accounting.

“Isca and Shicpa Enter Mou for Accountancy Development” was originally made and published by the accountant, a Global Data brand.
